After a youth spent borrowing his father’s camera, Swiss-born, Paris-based Simone Cavadini’s adolescent experimentation evolved into a full-time preoccupation. In Res Pvblica, one of his personal projects, Cavadini shows us how the spectacular participates in the exercise of power in the context of Italian televisual entertainment. "The hyper-baroque structures serve to immerse the shows’ participants and audiences in visions of excess," he says.
