With a background in political science, artist and filmmaker Lisa Rovner’s first serious introduction to cinema came while working in a New York video store. Encouraged by a customer to pursue directing, the Franco-American Rovner relocated to Paris and founded Message is the Medium, a creative consultancy that boasts clients from Opening Ceremony and Acne to Maison Martin Margiela.
