Graeme Montgomery

profile picture

British-born Graeme Montgomery graduated from the London College of Printing with a degree in photography, film and television, along with the realization that he might not be cut out for the career as a war photographer he had always imagined. So he pursued portraits instead, and only two years out of school nabbed his first cover of The Sunday Times Magazine. Since then, Montgomery has shot for clients including Burberry, Coca-Cola, Peugeot, Mont Blanc and Prada, and created short films for the likes of D&G and Saint Tropez. His personal work includes Mysore Style, a book inspired by his passion for Ashtanga yoga that features its guru, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, and his students. Montgomery’s other tomes include Femme Fatales, Duo and Triptych. In addition to an ongoing project of real-life nudes, featuring subjects who replied to an advertisement in Time Out, Montgomery runs the Places I Love travel website with his fiancée, Jennie Withers. In his spare time, he tries to ride horses, and dotes on his son, Victory.
