Arizona Muse: Exquisite Art

The Model du Jour Launches a Surrealist-Inspired Benefit Exhibition in New York

With her signature eyebrows and new raven-hued cut, model Arizona Muse poses in striking contrast to an array of eclectic canvases in this artful series by photographer Chadwick Tyler. After rising to fashion fame in 2010, the Arizona-born mother of one has starred in campaigns for luxury powerhouses Louis Vuitton, Chloé and Prada, as well as gracing countless editorials. In addition to walking the shows this New York Fashion Week, Muse is contributing to the Exquisite Corpse exhibition, opening at the historic Essex Street Market on New York’s Lower East Side tomorrow. “Sometimes breaking art apart, and making it imperfect, makes it more interesting,” says Marina T. Schindler, Creative Director of the show, named after the famous surrealist parlor game. “That’s how I settled on this idea of creating imperfect perfection, and Exquisite Corpse is the ideal medium for that.” Creative collective FAM NYC invited 33 artists, including Dustin Yellin, Darren Bader and Jordan Wolfson, to collaborate blind and produce 11 original pieces that will be displayed in surprising sets of three, with proceeds going to the Art Start charity helping at risk youths through creative programs. “Arizona is deeply involved with Art Start and I knew she would love to be a part of this,” says Schindler, “After all, she needs a break from being a supermodel sometimes.”
