On the Fifth Day of Christmas
Get Ready to Ring in the New Year with Ultra-Opulent Baubles
There is something singularly festive about the ring, whether it be bells and laughter, or the most desired kind—that which we wear. It's the latter to which photographer Andy Bettles and stylist Lauren Goodman turned when creating the decadent snowflake-inspired tableaux above, fashioned from some of the most luxurious objects of the season. Look closely and you’ll see Baccarat amber crystal flutes, a bronze Alexander McQueen clutch with molded vegetation, and a carved Lucite cuff by sculptor Patricia von Musulin. To slip on your finger, there's a black pearl knuckle duster from Thakoon’s collection for Japanese jewelers Tasaki, a Dior rose ring created from red coral, and show-stopping gold-and-diamond bands from Buccellati—all guaranteed to add holiday party sparkle. Have a peek at what French fashionistas like Carine Roitfeld are wearing on New Year's Eve here.
