NOWNESS And The IdeaLists: The Commission

At the end of the August NOWNESS partnered with online creative network The IdeaLists to invite you to submit an idea for the chance to make an original fashion film. The brief: write a treatment for a short, 3-minute film that features clothes from a single fashion designer. Scores of submissions were sent in, and it was no easy task choosing just one out of the many inspired and creative treatments we reviewed. We have decided to give the commission to photographer and artist Molly Schiot for her simple and delightful concept for an animated film based on the prints that feature in the current Miu Miu Resort collection. Above is a brief, animated mood board that Schiot sent in with her treatment—a taste of the film to come that will bring the graphic, colorful Miu Miu collection alive in an charming animation that also relies heavily on sound.
