Artists Against Exclusion

The Moscow Biennale

Russia’s pavilion at the Venice Biennale has been one of the most interesting over the past few years thanks to fascinating Russian contemporary artists such as Pavel Pepperstein, Dmitry Tsetkov and Alexander Brodsky. Not to be outdone by Venice, Moscow now has its own Biennale to showcase contemporary art. Now in its third incarnation, 2009’s Biennale is entitled Against Exclusion. The stellar line up of artists includes Christian Marclay, Marina Abramovic, Annette Messager and Wolfgang Tillmans, as well as more treats from the Russian art scene.
