Elle Muliarchyk: Dressing Icons

In her project Begotten, Belarus-born artist Elle Muliarchyk visited 500 churches across America, where she photographed saints and martyrs, or the "ultimate Pop Icons", as she calls them. The statues are adorned in the latest must-have accessories of the season in a ritualistic and witty assimilation of fashion and religion.
