Zaha Hadid's Abu Dhabi Performing Arts Center

Abu Dhabi’s new Performing Arts Center is one of the latest architectural commissions to be revealed by Iraqi-born Zaha Hadid. The space, scheduled to open in 2013, houses a music hall, opera house, drama theatre, concert hall and a flexible theater with a combined seating capacity for 6,300 people. The Arts Center is part of a Guggenheim development on the Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, which also includes a 450,000 square foot museum designed by architect Frank Gehry.

I believe the project's completion date is pushed to a none-disclosed date as of yet. The only museum that seems to be going forward full-throttle on the Saadiyat Island is The Guggenheim. But perhaps I'll post an update during Abu Dhabi Art 2011.

Reminiscent of Santiago Calatrava's work in Valencia, Spain. The museum of Art & Science amongst others.. Nice though !
