Wild Child

When his nine-year old son Max was cast in Spike Jonze’s film Where The Wild Things Are, photographer Shawn Records moved his family from Portland to Australia for the four-month shoot. His onset shots of the chaotic and inspirational world his son was thrown into are imbued with a father’s protective eye, and capture the vividly imagined film sets and dreamlike world of Jonze’s adaptation of the classic Maurice Sendak book.
