Owner of this World by Shawn Records
When his nine-year old son Max was cast in Spike Jonze’s film Where The Wild Things Are, photographer Shawn Records moved his family from Portland to Australia for the four-month shoot. His onset shots of the chaotic and inspirational world his son was thrown into are imbued with a father’s protective eye, and capture the vividly imagined film sets and dreamlike world of Jonze’s adaptation of the classic Maurice Sendak book. Owner of This World is a collection of Shawn Records’s photographs, published by Publication Studio and available on demand.
